Little house, big learning

We believe education can be both rigorous and warm—rooted in close relationships, shaped by curiosity, and connected to everyday life.

How we learn

A thoughtful education, made personal.

Our small setting lets us slow down when a lesson needs care, move ahead when curiosity takes hold, and make room for the whole child.

01

Strong foundations

Reading, writing, and math are practiced with patience, purpose, and plenty of encouragement.

02

Hands-on discovery

Science, art, nature, and everyday projects turn questions into memorable learning.

03

Room to grow

A small setting makes space for individual interests, flexible pacing, and real connection.

A flexible daily rhythm

Structure when it helps. Freedom when it matters.

Every day can look a little different, but a simple rhythm keeps learning grounded and leaves room for discovery.

Morning

Gather & focus

A gentle start, shared reading, and focused practice in core skills.

Midday

Explore & inquire

Projects, experiments, conversation, and learning beyond the workbook.

Afternoon

Make & move

Creative work, outdoor time, practical skills, and space to follow curiosity.

Meet the teacher

Hi, I’m Sarah.

Mom of three, dedicated child educator, and school administrator since 2019.

I enjoy creating environments where children can flourish. Education is about much more than academics—it is about helping children grow in curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.

“The best learning feels safe, meaningful, and full of possibility.”

Rooted at home

Small by design. Rich with possibility.

At Little House Academy, home is more than where learning happens. It is where wonder is welcomed, progress is noticed, and each day can become part of the lesson.
